Adelita Garza Calderon, passed away June 23, 2025, at the age of 74. She was born on May 7, 1951 in Corpus Christi, Tx, to her parents Francisco Garza and Mother Calistra Martinez.

Born into a loving household as one of seven siblings, Adelita learned early on the values of family unity and resilience. Her journey through life was marked by her unwavering courage in the face of epilepsy, a condition she managed with grace throughout her years.

Adelita's life was marked by her exceptional talent and passion for crochet, through which she crafted countless treasures that will be cherished for generations. Her hands were rarely still, as she poured her heart into every stitch, creating beautiful works that were as much a part of her as her kind and generous spirit.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, Adelita's true calling was that of a wife and mother. Her wisdom, support, and unconditional love were the pillars upon which her family stood. She was the quiet strength in times of trouble, the joy in moments of celebration, and the unwavering light that guided her loved ones through every chapter of life.

Adelita is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Jose Alfonso Calderon, and her eldest daughter, Lisa Calderon.

She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Jose A. Calderon and his wife Anita, Juan G. Calderon and his wife Sabrina, and her daughter Amy Calderon. Adelita's role as a grandmother and great-grandmother was cherished beyond measure, and her absence will be profoundly felt by the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who adored her.

Public visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday July 23, 2025 at Guardian Funeral Home 5922 Crosstown in Corpus Christi, Texas, 78417.  Holy Rosary to start at 11:00 a.m. with burial to follow at the Coastal Bend State Veterans cemetery at 2:00 p.m. 9974 I.H. 37 North Access Rd.
