Adan Perez Senior, age 61, passed away on March 25, 2016. He was born in Freer, Texas on April 23, 1954.
He proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1975-1979. He retired from Corpus Christi Army Depot where he worked as an Aircraft Engine Mechanic.
He was a caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend who will be deeply missed. He loved telling jokes, teasing people, listening to music, and playing with his grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his mother Elia S. Perez, father Eleuterio Perez, his brothers Adelfino Perez, Daniel Perez, his sisters Minerva Acevedo, and Diana Perez.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Sylvia, his loving mother-in-law, Juanita DeRusse, whom he loved dearly, his three children: Debra (John) Garcia, Adan (Leandra) Perez Jr, and Rosie (Fabian) Limon, his nine beautiful grandchildren: Mariah Nicole Garcia, Miranda Kate Garcia, Jazlynn Jaye Garcia, Fabian Limon III, Janey Olivia Garcia, Ezra James Limon, Kaleb Rudy Perez, Alexa Rose Limon, and Silas Xavier Limon.
He is also survived by his brothers Valdemar (Elma) Perez, David Perez, and his sister Sofia (Homero) Garcia, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and great neighbors.
His pallbearers will be some of his nephews: Ernie Perez, Robert Flores, Alfredo DeRusse Jr, Eric Perez, Jonathon Perez, Lando Acevedo, and Edmond Acevedo Jr.
Visitation will begin at 5:00 on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Guardian Funeral Home in Chapel A, with a service to be followed at 7:00. Church Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at El Buen Pastor located on 1762 15th Street. Burial will be 1:00 at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 IH 37 Access Road.
