Adan C. Rodriguez Sr. entered into the gates of Heaven on March 29, 2023 at the age of 83. Adan was born in San Diego, Texas on August 5, 1939 to Marcelino Rodriguez and Maria Chavarria.

Adan was a life long resident of Corpus Christi, Texas. He was married to the love of his life Mary Lucille (Lucy) for 62 years and were married on September 1, 1960 at the Nueces County Courthouse. A devoted husband and father, family was everything to him. Adan served in the United States Army where he did one tour and Army Reserves for 13 years. He received his GED through the Army and got his degree in Marine Engineering. Adan worked at Coca-Cola, CP&L and Global Marine for 36 years which took him all around the world including Cairo, Singapore, Jakarta, and Australia. Adan and Mary were members of the Mr. & Mrs. Social Club.

Adan is preceded in death by his parents, Marcelino Rodriguez and Maria Chavarria and his sister Eva Mendez.

He is survived by his wife Mary Rodriguez, his sisters Herminia Salazar and Consuelo Reyna, his children Adan T. Rodriguez Jr.(Tammie), Viola Avila (Redbone) and Elvira Perez(Rafa), his grandchildren Adan III, Alexus, Christopher, Leandra, Amanda and Ralphie and nine great grandchildren, his siblings Herminia Salazar and Consuelo Reyna and nine great grandchildren.

There will be a visitation held on Wednesday, April 12th at Guardian Funeral Home from 4-8pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 630pm . On Thursday, April 13th there will be a Funeral Mass at St. Peter Prince of the Apostle at 945am with the burial to follow at 11am at The Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Adan Rodriguez, III, Christopher Rodriguez, Jay Villanueva, Miguel Aleman, Ralph Perez, Jr. and Dominic Aleman.
