Abel Cantu was born July 04,1958. He lived in Robstown, Texas, but was born and raised in Corpus Christi, Texas.
His parents were Noe and Margarita Cantu.

Abel Cantu loved his beautiful wife Mary Eileen Cantu of 15 years. Daughter's Amanda Ibarra and Monica Salinas. Son's Nickolas Ramos, Marc Ramos and Ricky Salinas. His loving grandkids Alex Ramos and Niko Ramos. Daughter in laws Frances Guevara, Nikki Garza, and Kimberly Salinas. Also, Samuel and Virginia Cantu, and Severino and Linda Cantu. Niece Amanda Cantu. His dogs Sophia and Chula. numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

He will be joining his parents Noe and Margarita Cantu, sister Esperanza Cantu, and brothers Ernesto and Noe Cantu in Heaven.

Abel retired from The Corpus Christi State School after 30 years, were he met his beautiful wife Mary Eileen Cantu and many other friends. Abel really expressed his love through his cooking. You felt the love he put into it. His favorite team was The Dallas Cowboys. He spent his free time fishing, random drives with his wife and their dogs, watching tv, but his favorite thing most of all was just hanging out with all his family tell stories or just making each other laugh. He will be truly missed, but never forgotten.

The family will begin accepting visitors at 4 p.m. followed by the Chapel Service at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Guardian Funeral Home, 5922 Crosstown (S.H. 286 S.) All services will conclude that evening.
